🌟 Astralei
Astralei is a permanent world in Ticuto, first introduced during the Festival of Stars limited-time event. Discovered long ago by Dr. Tuto and later made accessible through the Ticuto Machine, Astralei exists beyond the folds of reality – a drifting, dreamlike world lit by ancient starlight and floating isles.
Although players first reached Astralei during the star-themed festival, the realm itself remains open as an explorable world.
Overview
Astralei is a quiet, ethereal world shaped by shimmering skies and strange celestial energy. The air hums with a soft glow and fragments of starlight drift through the atmosphere like living memories. Its name originates from old whispers and dreamlike transmissions uncovered by Dr. Tuto during his early research.
Players travel to Astralei directly through the Ticuto Machine, but they must first obtain a Time Crystal and complete Skip’s “Boat Repair” quest to unlock the path.
Access
To reach Astralei, players must:
- Speak to Dr. Tuto in his Lab.
- Collect a Time Crystal to activate the required machinery.
- Have completed Skip’s “Boat Repair” questline.
Once these requirements are met, the portal to Astralei opens, permanently granting access to the realm.
Lore: The Weaving Star
Astralei is believed to be the birthplace of Solmara, the Weaving Star — a cosmic being who influences fate and starlight but is neither deity nor spirit. Her symbol, a spiralling star, appears across ancient structures throughout the realm and marks places where her presence lingers strongest.
Legends describe Astralei as a “realm of reflections,” where time behaves strangely and memories echo in the air. During the Starfall (see below), her influence grows even more pronounced, causing the skies to open and threads of radiant light to descend into the world below.
The Riftkeeper
Astralei’s oldest tales speak of a mysterious visitor; a figure who once fell through a glowing rift in the heavens during a past Starfall. He wore unfamiliar clothing, carried a radiant crystal and held a bottle swirling with violet light. The Astraleili people could not understand him, but believed he had been sent by Solmara herself.
They named him The Keeper of the Rift, building altars and monuments in his honour. His identity and origin remain unknown.
The Astraleili People
Astralei is home to its own native inhabitants, often referred to collectively as the Astraleili. Little is known about their true origins, but they appear deeply connected to starlight and the natural flow of the realm.
They speak an ancient language called Aurelian, which is not naturally understood by players. Dr. Tuto provides a translator tool to interpret their speech when interacting with them during quests.
Starfall (Seasonal Tradition)
Starfall is Astralei’s annual celestial phenomenon happens during September, where fragments of the realm’s night sky drift downward as glowing Fallen Stars. These are not meteors, but luminous strands of cosmic material tied to Solmara’s weaving of fate.
Starfall is celebrated by the Astraleili as a spiritual event — a moment when Astralei and the wider universe briefly connect. Obelisks across the realm respond to the arrival of Fallen Stars, resonating with energy and ancient symbols.
Although the Festival of Stars event introduced Starfall to players, the tradition itself is part of Astralei’s natural cycle and persists outside the seasonal event structure.
Fallen Stars
Fallen Stars are radiant celestial fragments that appear throughout Astralei during the Starfall period. Their purpose is tied to the lore of Solmara and the realm’s ancient structures. Players can encounter them drifting across the landscape and interacting with the realm’s Obelisks.
Inhabitants & Quests
Astralei features a combination of:
- Main story quests uncovering its origins and Dr. Tuto’s early discoveries
- Additional optional quests involving Astraleili characters
- Insight into the realm’s language, culture and cosmic history
The native characters each reflect unique aspects of Astralei’s starbound nature, though their identities and roles remain intentionally mysterious.
Aurelian Language
The Astraleili speak Aurelian, an ancient dialect composed of flowing, melodic structures and symbols derived from starlight patterns. Because it is unintelligible to humans, Dr. Tuto equips players with a translation tool so they can communicate during quests and exploration.
