Skills
In Ticuto, skills help your character grow, unlock new crafting options, and earn Gold by gathering or creating useful items. Most skills are tied to activities in the world like foraging, mining, or using workstations.
Each skill has its own gameplay loop, and many have special tools or NPCs tied to them.
🧪 Alchemy
Alchemy is in early development, but players can already craft basic items using the Cauldron.
How to get started:
- Head to the Azuna’s Apothecary in Hubble
- Interact with the Cauldron to view available recipes
Craftable items:
- Orange Dye – 3x Marigold Flowers + 1x Empty Bottle
- Orange Thread – 1x White Thread + 1x Orange Dye (you get the bottle back)
More potions and recipes will be added in future updates.
🍳 Cooking
Cooking lets you turn ingredients into meals. These dishes help with restoring stamina, and may be used in quests or trades later on.
How to get started:
- Find a cooking station like a kitchen range
- Gather the ingredients needed through Foraging or Farming
Example recipes:
- Berry Jam – 6x Blueberries, 4x Red Currant Berries, 1x Jar
- Flour – 6x Wheat
🔨 Crafting
Crafting lets players turn raw materials into useful tools or decorative items.
How it works:
- Combine items using tools or workbenches
- Used in many quests
- Recipes can be discovered or unlocked
🎣 Fishing (Unreleased)
Fishing isn’t available yet, but signs of it are already in-game.
- Visit Finn’s Fishing Hut (Flippers n’ Finns) near the Marina
- Buy Boat Ride Stubs from Finn — these might be used for reaching rare fishing areas in the future
🌾 Foraging
Foraging is one of the first skills you’ll use. It involves collecting natural materials from around the world.
Common items:
- Marigold Flowers, Cotton, Wheat, Berries, Apples, Mushrooms, Stones
Note:
Some items (like Mushrooms and Stones) need a Shovel or Pickaxe to collect.
⛏️ Mining
Mining takes place inside the Hubble Mine. Players can:
- Dig for Stone, Mushrooms, Minerals, and Gold
- Climb ladders to different levels
- Use tools like the Shovel to uncover hidden items
- Explore side rooms for bonus loot
Some parts of the mine are more dangerous, so bring your curiosity (and maybe a friend).
🔥 Smelting
Smelting allows you to refine ores into usable ingots.
- Use furnaces
- Smelt Gold, or other metals
- Refined materials are used for metal tools and crafting recipes
🧶 Textiles
The Textiles skill focuses on threads and dyes.
- Collect White Thread from quests or Foraging
- Use Alchemy to dye thread different colours
Example recipe:
- 1x Orange Dye + 1x White Thread = 1x Orange Thread
